acid + base ----> salt + water
let's take some examples:-
(a) HCl + NaOH ---> NaCl + H₂O
(b) HNO₃ + KOH ---> KNO₃ + H₂O
as we can see that a salt and water is produced in the reactions so it's neutralisation reaction.
