✌✌Hey, mate here is your answer⤵

A neutralization reaction is one in which an acid and a base generally react to form the respective salt, and water, only. Eg:

NaCl + H2SO4 = Na2SO4 + H2O.

The acid and base neutralize the acidity and basicity of each other and therefore it is termed as neutralization.

Hope this answer will help you..《《

Neutralization Reaction

1)When a base and an acid reacts with each other in same quantity to form salt and water is known as Neutralisation Reaction.

2)Since the compound formed is neither basic nor acidic in it's nature.

It is neutral i.e it has an pH value of 7.

3)Example=>

NaOH + HCl => NaCl + H2O

where-->

° NaOH is a strong base.

° HCl is an strong acid and

° NaCl is an neutral salt.

4)It involves the combination of H+ and OH- ions to form water.

5)The salt that is Produced by reaction of strong acid and strong base is neutral in nature.

6) The salt produced by strong base and weak acid is basic in nature.

Example=>

NaOH + H2CO3 => NaHCO3 + H2O

here,

°NaOH is a strong base.

°H2CO3 is a weak acid.

°NaHCO3 is a basic salt.

7)The salt produced by strong acid and weak base is acidic in nature.

Example=>

HCl + NH4OH =>NH4Cl + H20

here,

°HCl is a strong acid

°NH4OH is a weak base.

°NH4Cl is an acidic salt.
