what is Mendeleev periodic law
what is modern periodic law
Answers
Answer:
NEWLAND'S LAW OF OCTAVES:-
Newland gave the law of octaves similar to the notes of music. he found that If the elements were arranged in the order of increasing masses, every eighth element starting from a given one, gave properties similar to the first. this law was found applicable to only lower atomic masses.
MENDALEEV'S PERIODIC TABLE :-
Mendaleev arranged the elements in increasing order of their atomic masses. he found that the properties of elements gradually changed from element to element and at certain interval they almost started repeating. it enabled him to predict the existence of some yet to be discovered elements. but at the same time certain anomalies were also noted.
MODERN PERIODIC TABLE :-
Modern periodic table is based on the fact that properties of the elements are periodic function of the atomic numbers. this table related periodicity in their electronic configurations.

Explanation:
Newlands' law of Octaves :-
→ Newland found that every eighth element had properties similar to that of the first. He compared these to the octaves found in music. Therefore, he called it is the ‘ Law of Octaves’. It is known as ‘ Newlands'law of octaves ’ .
→ Mendeleev Periodic Law states that the physical and chemical properties of the element our body function of their atomic weight .
→ While, Modern Periodic Law states that physical and chemical properties of elements are function of their atomic numbers .
