Answer:

Newton's second law of motion can be formally stated as follows: The acceleration of an object as produced by a net force is directly proportional to the magnitude of the net force, in the same direction as the net force, and inversely proportional to the mass of the object.

Answer:

according to this law rate of change of linear momentum of a body is directly proportional to the external force applied on the body and this change take place always in direction of net force.

Expression of Newton's second law of motion ...

let a body having mass (M) with initial velocity (u)in time (t) and force (f) that is applied on the body with velocity becomes final velocity (v).

M=mass of body

u =initial velocitiy of body.

f=external force applied on body.

t=time for which force is applied.

v=finalvelocitiy

(p=momentum)

initial momentum of body p1=mu

final momentum of body p2=mv

change in momentum=p2-p1

= mv-mu

=m(v-u)

rate of change in momentum equals to change in momentum by time taken .

that is..

=m(v-u)/t

we know that F is directly proportional to DP/DT

DP/DT=rate of change in momentum .

so..

F is directly proportional to m(v-u) ....(1)

from first equation of motion ..

v=u+at

v-u=at

a=v-u/t......(2)

putting values in eq (1)

F directly proportional to m(v-u)/t

according to 2nd equation..

F is directly proportional to ma

(when we need to remove proportionality we need a constant the constant is k .)

so..

F =kma.......(3)

if a =1 ,f=1, m=1(we don't put the values of constant because we want to find its value)

so ..equation 3 became...

F=ma

hence ,proved

hope it help you frnd....
