Newton's Third Law

For every action there is equal (in magnitude) and opposite (in direction) reaction (As given in the Attachment).

Important Points-

1. Single isolated force cannot be generated in nature. Forces are always generated in action reaction pair.

2.There is no time gap between action and reaction that takes place simultaneously.

3. Action and reaction can act in both states (state of rest or state of motion).

4. For action and reaction physical contact is not necessary.

Example - Magnet

5. Action and reaction never cancel each other because they act on different bodies.

6. All interaction forces like gravitational force, electrostatic (Charge), friction force occur in action-reaction pair.
