Hey!!!....Here is ur answer

But According to modern view , change in momentum is directly promotional to the applied force.
Hope it will help you

HERE IS UR ANSWER ----------
Newton's second law of motion states that the rate of change of momentum of an object is directly proportional to applied unbalanced force and the change in momentum takes place in the direction of applied force.
Some examples are ------
• A fielder while catching a fast moving cricket ball gradually pulls his hands backwards with the moving ball.
• A boxer moves his head backwards when his opponent blows a punch on his face.
