Answer:

Normality :

Normality is term of concentration.

It is defined as numbers of gram equivalents  of solute present in volume of soultion in litre .

The unit comes of Normality is g equi / L

Gram equivalents  of solute = Mass of solute / Equivalent mass.

Since mass is present ,there is effect of temperature in solution.

One relation between Normality and Molarity :

Normality = Malarity * n-factor [ Acidicty or basicity ]

\huge\underline\green{\sf Normality :-}

The number of equivalent or gram equivalent of Solute dissolved in one litre of the solution is known as Normality (N) of the solution.

FORMULA TO FIND NORMALITY IS :-

\small{\boxed{\sf N = {\frac{No.\:Of\:Gram\: Equivalent\:Of\:Solute}{Volume\:of\:Solution\:in\:litre}}}}

OR

\small{\boxed{\sf N ={\frac{Strength\:of\:Solution\:in\:gram/litre}{Equivalent\:Weight\:Of\:Solute}}}}

OR

\small{\boxed{\sf N ={\frac{Weight\:Of\:Solute\:in\:gram}{equivalent\:weight×Volume\:Of\: Solution (litre)}}}}

Equivalent weight of a substance is that weight which reacts with or displaces one gram of hydrogen , 8 gram.of oxygen or 35.5 gram of chlorine.
