NREGA also known as National Rural Employment Guarantee Act was launched in the year 2005. This act is is a social security to the people of the society in relation to their employment. It is also a Labour Law which protects the employment opportunities of the people.
This act is mainly for the rural areas and their development and is now termed as Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act.
