IRDP stands for Integrated Rural Development Programme. This programme by the Indian government was started in the year 1980 from the 2nd of October.

The main aim of the Integrated Rural Development Programme is to promote self-sufficiency in rural areas with the help of bank credits and subsidy. This program so far has proved beneficial for the development in the rural areas and it also includes various other programs which are helping in improving the condition of the poor people.
