Nutrition is the process of taking in food and using it for growth, metabolism, and repair of the cells.

1) Autotrophic ---in this mode of nutrition plants manufacture their own food by organic raw material .
eg - green plants
2) heterotrophic --in this mode of nutrition organisms obtained ready made food from plants and animals .
eg- Amoeba , humanbiengs etc.
