Osmosis:- a process movement of water molecules from less concentration to higher concentration through a membrane is known as Osmosis.

Reverse Osmosis:-

when heavy pressure is applied on salt solution when is separated from fresh water with semi permeable membrane, the water moves from salt solution into fresh water leaving the salt behind. This process is known as Reverse Osmosis.
