Osmosis is the process by which the molecules of a solvent move from a region of higher concentration to the region of lower concentration through a semi permeable membrane .it's a membrane through which only certain substances can pass .e.g. of it are cell membrane ,goats bladder etc.
it helps in absorption of water from roots
