Osmosis : The passage of water from a lower concentration solution to a higher concentration solution through a semi-permeable membrane is known as osmosis.
Endosmosis : The flow of substance from an area of lesser concentration to an area of greater concentration is known as endosmosis.

AdityaVardhanPatel: That's reverse osmosis. When water enter into the cell because of osmosis, then it is called endosmosis. endo(inside)osmosis

osmosis is a process of movement of water molecules from a region of high concentration to a region of low concentration of water, across a semi permeable membrane.

endosmosis is defined as Movement of water molecules into the cell when the cell is placed in hypotonic solution.

for example. suppose in a bowl of water we put some raisins into it, after sometime we observed that the raisins swells up after a few minutes , because the raisins absorbs the water . due to higher concentration inside the raisin.

AdityaVardhanPatel: Osmosis means movement of water molecules from low concentration to high concentration either through a selectively permeable membrane or semi permeable membrane
