Ossification (or osteogenesis) in bone remodeling is the process of laying down new bone material by cells called osteoblasts. It is synonymous with bone tissue formation.

ossification means growing bones. Without ossification u would be a soft mound of blood and flesh.
ossification takes place in many regions if the body, the hormone from the parathyroid gland helps in ossification.
with absence of this hormone there would a chance of getting the disorder called rickets.
