Ouija board is a trademark of board made for contacting spirits and ghosts. It is a wooden board with alphabets from A to Z and YES/NO/BYE carved on it, which is handled with a planchette ( a transparent pointer of glass with wooden frame)
To call a spirit, you ( with or without someone else's assistance) have to place your fingers over the planchette and ask the spirit to show up, if they do - you'll be notified by the involuntary movement of planchette over the board, up to the letter with which the spirit wants to contact...
