Hi Dear...

Oxidation

  • The loss of electrons from an atom or ion

eg :-

  Na \:  - >      \: {Na}^{ (+ )}  \:  {e}^{ (- )}

  • +ve charge represents electron deficiency.
  • One +ve charge means deficiency by 1 electron.
  • If something is oxidised, something else must be reduced in a chemical reaction.
