the ozone layer is formed of O3 molecule
The Cl2 molecule released reacts with O3 to give nascent oxygen which uses up the ozone molecule hence there becomes a hole in ozone layer

ozone holes are caused by CFC .It is break in the layer of ozone the ozone hole is found in the atmosphere of continents like Antarctica .It causes the UV rays of sun to enter the surface of sun which can cause many problems such as skin cancer
