• The P STAR, initially standing for Pre-Solo Test of Air Regulations but now it is known as the Student Pilot Permit or Private Pilot Licence for Foreign and Military Applicants, Aviation Regulation Examination, is a written examination for students who are studying for their Private Pilot Licence in Canada and they must pass before being granted their Student Pilot Permit.
