Hello Friend
Let us split the term 'Parellel' and evolution.Clearly it refers to evolution of two different species in an area parellely.
When more than 1 type of adaptive radiation are found to occur in a particular geographical area it is called parellel evolution.
E.g. Evolution of placental mammals and australian marsupials in Australia.
Like flying squirrel and flying phalanger.

Parallel evolution, the evolution of geographically separated groups in such a way that they show morphological resemblance.
Many examples can be drawn from the independent evolution of Placental Mammals and Australian Marsupials. During the Jurassic period mammals were small and low in diversity, unable to exploit many of the ecosystem resources due to treat of predation from dinosaurs.
