\huge\mathfrak{Parenchyma}

✴Parenchyma cells are living and more or less isodiametric . The cells may be spherical or oval or polygonal in shape and thin walled with intercellular spaces.

✴It is the most abundantly found tissue in a plant and is present in the cortex and pith of stems, cortex of roots , pulp of fruits and mesophyll of leaves.

Functions:-

✍It stores food materials and also provides temporary support to the plant..

✍Some parenchymatous cells may contain chlorophyll . They are called cholrenchyma.

✍In aquatic plants , parenchyma cells have star shaped air spaces. They are called aerenchyma. Aerenchyma gives buoyancy to the aquatic plants and helps them float
