what is parenchyma, collenchyma and sclerenchyma

Parenchyma helps in support of plant. Collenchyma helps in flexblity of Branch and leaf nodes .
Sclerenchyma is the hard material made by a fluid like chemical called lignin give protection to the plant present in the husk of coconut.

PARENCHYMA:

* They are oval shaped structure which are loosely packed with intercellular space and has dense cytoplasm

* FUNCTION:
1) Gives mechanical support
2) Helps in storing the food.

COLLENCHYMA:

* They are closely packed without any intercellular space.

* The tissues are coated with cementing substance

*FUNCTION:
1) Gives mechanical support
2) Gives flexibility to the plants.

SCLERENCHYMA:

* It is a narrow coated with lignin.

* It is present in the husk of the coconut.

* FUNCTION:
1) Gives mechanical support
2) Gives hardness to the plants.
