what is pentagular tournament

Pentagular tournament was established by the British...as there only motive was to have the divide and rule policy so they did it also in the sports(cricket) .As the name suggests pentagular ,britishers divided them in 5 -Muslims,Hindus,Sikhs,Christians and Parsis.....& thus tried to show them that every community is different from other..... later on Mahatma Ghandi raised the voice against the pentagular series...
