pericardium is the double layered protective membrane around the heart
semilunar valves guard the opening between the ventricles and the corresponding arteries

HELLO MATE

The semilunar valves close to stop the blood from flowing back into the ventricles from the aorta and pulmonary trunk. The atria and ventricles once again are in diastole together and the cycle begins again.

percardium=the membrane enclosing the heart, consisting of an outer fibrous layer and an inner double layer of serous membrane.
