Periodicity means repitition of properties after equal inyervals of time.
In modern periodic table, elements are arranged in order of their increasing atomic number, those with similar properties are repeated after regualar intervals i.e periodicity in the pwriodic table occurs based on atomic number.
Same groups' elements have similar property because of periodicity. Same groups' elements have same valency.

Answer:
Explanation:
Answer :-
In the modern periodic table, Periodicity is the repetition in the properties of the different elements at regular intervals when arranged or settled according to increasing atomic number.
Elements in the same group have similar properties because their electronic configurations have the same number of electrons in the outermost shell.
Extra Information :-
The tendency to gain electrons increasing on moving from left to right in a periodic table as the effective nuclear charge increases and the atomic radius decreases.
