pH is a scale which measures the hydrogen ion concentration in a solution. the pH decreases when milk turns in curd because of lactic acid

pH scale is a scale which is used to measure the concentration of hydrogen ions in the solution.
When fresh milk turns into curd it pH changes from 6 to slightly more acidic i.e. less than 6.
And in pH p stands for potenz in German which means power.
