photophosphorylation occurs in two ways -

i)cyclic

ii)non-cyclic

conditions for non-cyclic photophosphorylation are-

- when only PSI is functional the electrons are circulated within  the PSI,photophosphorylation occurs within the cyclic flow.

-this happens in thew stroma lemelle which lacks PSII and NADP reductase enzyme.
