The Photosynthesis is a process in which the autotrophs or the mainly the plants produce their own organic food from inorganic material such as water, carbon dioxide, sunlight and chlorophyll. The food produced is stored in the form of starch so that the plant can use it as an internal energy reserve, as and when required, by the plant. It produces oxygen which is essential for the organisms. The oxygen is considered as a waste product by the plant so, it releases it into the air through small pores present on the surface of the leaf, called stomata. But some part of the oxygen is re taken by the plant for its own respiration. Thus, photosynthesis is an one of the most important processes of the world, which helps in maintaining life on Earth.
