Photosynthesis is  is a complex set of chemical reaction in which light energy converted into chemical energy. In this process, water and carbon dioxide combine to form sugar and oxygen in the presence of sunlight and chlorophyll. Photosynthesis occurs in the cells of leaves. The leaves are flat and thin. This enables sun ray to easily penetrate the leaves. The leaves are arranged in such a way that they remain exposed to sunlight.
