Photosynthesis is a physicochemical process by which green plants use light energy to derive the synthesis of organic compounds .it is an enzyme regulated anabolic process. ❍ Most of the energy used by living organisms comes directly from sun.

❍ Plants make sugar (glucose), a complex compound, from carbon dioxide and water, in the presence of chlorophyll by using light energy. This process is called Photosynthesis.

❍ Photosynthesis is a process in which six molecules of carbon dioxide, six molecules of water form one glucose molecule and six molecules of oxygen.
