THE PROCESS BY WHICH GREEN PLANTS MAKE THEIR OWN FOOD USING CARBON DIOXIDE, WATER AND SUNLIGHT WITH THE PRESENCE OF CHLOROPHYLL IN THEM IS CALLED PHOTOSYNTHESIS.

EVENTS HAPPENING DURING PHOTOSYNTHESIS:

  • ABSORPTION OF LIGHT ENERGY BY CHLOROPHYLL.
  • CONVERSION OF LIGHT ENERGY INTO CHEMICAL ENERGY.
  • REDUCTION OF CARBON DIOXIDE INTO CARBOHYDRATES.
