The process by which plants make their own food is called photosynthesis.Plants take carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and water from the soil around with minerals in the presence of sunlight in chlorophyll to make their food (which means glucose) and releases oxygen (through which we can survive )
Leaves are known as food factory of the plant.Photosynthesis occurs in stomata. The stomata is located in the leaves of the plant.

Reaction of Photosynthesis:-
CO2+H2O(in the presence of Sunlight and chlorophyll) C6H12O2+O2

photosynthesis is very necessary for the plants because it makes food for plants and releases oxygen (through which we living organisms can survive).
