1)Pipelines is very useful to carry water gas or liquid from place of production to place of consumption 2 They are very flexible in the sense they can be used in mountains , hilly areas or even under the sea 3 there is no delay in transporting the material (4) in mahrashtra pipelines are mostly use to supply water Demerits are (1) laying the pipelines involves a lot of cost (2)as it passes through remote areas there are risks os sabotage 3 maintenance is required very often 4 leakage can be prove to be very dangerous
