☆ Pivot Joint ☆
In a pivot joint, cylinder bone turns in a ring type bone. The pivot joint allow rotation around an axis. A pivot joint exist between our skull and the top vertebra of the backbone. The top vertebra of the backbone is a part of our neck so we usually say that a pivot joint exist between our skull and neck. This pivot joint allows our head to move up and down and done from side to side.
Another pivot joint occurs in the forearm near the elbow. The forearm, has two bones radius and ulna. In the forearm the pivot joint makes the radius and ulna bone twist around each other. The pivot joint in the forearm make a stun our forearm to pull the palm of our hand upwards or downwards. Thus, we conclude the pivot joints in the neck and the forearm.
