Placenta is a special tissue that helps human embryo in obtaining nutrition from mother's body.
Function- This provides large surface area for glucose and oxygen to pass from mother to the embryo, and the developing embryo will also generate waste substances which can be removed by transferring them into the mother's blood through the placenta.
