Blood plasma is the watery, liquid component of blood. It suspends red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets. Within plasma, there are many important dissolved substances, such as proteins, electrolytes, nutrients, gases, and waste products

plasma is straw coloured , various fluid forming matrix of the blood (matrix is ground substance of tissue or nonliving occupying the space between cells)

COMPOSITION OF PLASMA :-

★ water - 90 to 92% of plasma is water
★ Protein - they constitute about 6-8 proteins of it i.e.
# fibrinogen - fibrinogen is an important clotting factor produced by the liver

# Globulins - Globulins are primary involved in the defence mechanism of the body.

# Albumins - Albumins helps in osmotic balance.

★ Minerals - plasma contain small amount of minerals like sodium, calcium, magnesium, etc.....

★ Glucose, amino acid, lipids, etc are also present in plasma
