Hey!

Pollination may be defined as the transference of pollen grain from the anther of the stamen to the stigma of the carpel of the same flower or of different flowers of the same plant or different plants of the same species.
pollination may be of 2 types:

1. self pollination-----here the transfer of pollens from anther to stigma takes place between the flowers of the same plant.

2. cross pollination-----here the transference of pollens takes place between the flowers of different plants of the same species.

Hello!

<> What is pollination?

Answer: pollination is a process where the pollen grains in the anther are transferred to the stigma by wind, animals or insects.

》There are 2 types of pollination:-

》 SELF POLLINATION: Self pollination is a process where the pollen grains are transferred to the same stigma(of the same flower) or to the other flowers stigma.

》CROSS POLLINATION: Cross pollination is a process where wind , animal or an insect in involved .

》LETS TAKE THE EXAMPLE OF AN INSECT:-

》When an insect comes to suck nectar the pollen grains from the anther are stuck to its legs and when it goes near the stigma the pollen grains fall on it.

》Thus in this way pollination happens...
