Answer:

Pollination is a biological process in which the pollen grains are transferred from an anther (male part of a flower) to the stigma (female part of a flower).

There are two types of pollination, called self-pollination and cross-pollination. Self-pollination is the more basic type of pollination because it only involves one flower. This type of pollination occurs when pollen grains from the anther fall directly onto the stigma of the same flower.

The transfer of pollen grains from anther to the stigma or to the ovule is called pollination

Pollination is generally classified into three types depending on the source of pollen

1.Self pollination: This is also called Autogamy.

transfer of pollen grain from anther to stigma of same flower is called autogamy. It occuurs in the bosexual plants

2.Geitonogamy:Transfer of pollen grains from the anther to the stigma of the same plant. Although geitonogamy is functionally cross-pollination involving a pollinating agent genetically it is similar to autogamy since the pollen grains come from the some plants

3.Xenogamy:Transfer of pollen grains from anther to the stigma of adifferent plant. This is the only type of pollination which during pollination brigns genetically different types pf pollen grains to the stigma. This is also atype of cross pollination

Wind and the Water are the abiotic agents and animals are the biotic agents for the pollination
