It is type of gel electrophoresis in which normal gel is replaced with polyacrylamide gel used as support media.
It is most widely used technique of electrophoresis

# Extra information-
- Gels are made by free radical induced polymerization of acrylamide and N,N'-methylene-bisacrylamide
- It is used for qualitative characterization of protein
- Proteins are seperated on the basis of molecular seiving (charge/mass ratio and molecular size)
- Procedure is limited to analysis of protein with weight 14000-100000 Da
