Natural polymersoccur in nature and can be extracted. They are often water-based. Examples of naturally occurring polymers are silk, wool, DNA, cellulose and proteins.

Hey !!

Question = What is polymer ? Name a natural polymer.

Answer = Polymers are the high molecular mass     macromolecules, formed by the combination of large number of simple molecules called monomers. The process by which monomers are converted into polymers is called polymerisation.

nCH₂ (Double bond) CH₂ ------350 - 570 K , 1000 - 2000 atm------> (CH₂ ---- CH₂)n

NOTE :- (CH₂ ---- CH₂)n (Polythene) Polymer

nCH₂ (Double bond) CH₂ (Ethene) Monomer

Natural Polymers are found in nature, mostly in plants and animals are called natural polymers.

Example :- Proteins , Natural Rubber etc.

Hope it helps you !
