the presence of contamination into the environment of substance which has harmful or poisonous effects

different types of pollution :

1. water pollution

2. air pollution

3. noise pollution

4. light pollution

5. soil pollution

prevention methods:

1.light pollution:. conserve energy : remember to turn off light , electrical appliances when not in use .

. use energy efficient light bulbs and appliances .

2.air pollution : reduce the number of trips you take in your car .

reduce and eliminate fireplace and wood stove use.

avoid burning leaves ,trash, and other materials

3. turn off appliances at homes and offices when not in use .

shut the door when using noisy machines.

control noise level near sensitive areas .

4. soil pollution:

buy biodegradable products

store all liquid chemicals and waste in spill-proof containers

don't use pesticides if you can

water pollution :

do not dispose off household chemicals or cleaning agents down the sink

avoid using garbage disposal

minimize the use pesticides and fertilizers . do not dispose off these chemicals.
