what is Powe factor

1
the ratio of the actual electrical power dissipated by an AC circuit to the product of the r.m.s. values of current and voltage. The difference between the two is caused by reactance in the circuit and represents power that does no useful work

Manojbasumatary: please give me the equation
khushi643: ok
khushi643: true power and apparent power is called the power factor for this circuit. Because true powerand apparent power form the adjacent and hypotenuse sides of a right triangle, respectively, the power factor ratio is also equal to the cosine of that phase angle.
