$\boxed{Pressure:}$ When force applied on a body in per unit area, it is known as $\textbf{Pressure.}$

In other words $\textbf{Thrust*}$ Applied in per unit area is called Pressure .
It is Denoted by P .

Pressure = $\frac{Force}{Area}$ OR

Pressure = $\frac{Thrust}{Area}$

$\boxed{P = \frac{F}{A}}$

The si unit is $\textbf {Pascal.}$

And in MKS system = $\frac{N}{{m}^{2}}$

And in CGS system = $\frac{Dyne}{{cm}^{2}}$

It is the force which acts on a body perpendicular to its surface. Unit of Thrust is also Newton (N)

Effect of Thrust depends on the area on which it acts .
