Hey there ! I am of class 9 and so this so what I have understood according to your question. Hope it helps.

Well , diseases can be prevented by vaccination which makes our immune system immune to a particular infection or disease by introducing some weakened or killed infectious microbes in our body ( Through vaccination ).

When our immune system first sees an infectious microbes it responds against it and then remembers it specifically. So the next time the same microbe or its close relatives enter our body the immune system responds against it with greater vugpir and eliminates the infection more quickly than the first time. This is the basis for the principle of immunisation to prevent infectious diseases.
