Amoeba acquires its food through the process of endocytosis . In amoeba , finger like projections called pseudopodia is present . When food comes towards amoeba it extends pseudopodia and hence engulfs the food by the process of endocytosis.
Endocytosis:- the flexibility of cell membrane also allows the cell to engulf its food . This process is called endocytosis.
