Puberty is the time in which girls and boys begin the biological and physiological process of becoming sexually mature. Puberty usually occurs in young girls between the ages of 10 and14 and in young boys between the ages of 12 and 16. 

For girls, this period is marked by the beginning of menstruation.
Boys experience facial hair.

IN  BOYS  :-

  1. the size of testes increase.
  2. facial hair such as beard and mustache start to grow.
  3. shoulders broaden.
  4. muscle growth rate becomes high.
  5. hair on hands and legs grow too.
  6. the scrotum turns darker.
  7. voice cracks  and becomes deeper.
  8. testes start to make sperm cells.(spermato-genesis)              
  9. there is  sudden dramatic growth in height.
