Info on r-RNA :-

1. This RNA is 80%% of the cell's total RNA

2. r-RNA was discovered by Kun tze.

3. It is tound in ribosomes and it is produced in nucleolus

4. It is the most stable form of RNA.

5. These are present in 80s type of nbosomes in Eukaryotic cells.

6. Their subunits are 60s and 40s.

7. ln 60s Sub unit of ribosome three types of r-RNA are found -5s, 5.8s, 28s.

8. 40s sub unit of ribosome has ony one type of r-RNA i.e. 18s.

9. So 80s ribosome has total 4 types of r-RNA.

10. Prokaryotic cells have 70s type of ribosomes and its subunits are 50s and 30s.

11. 50s sub unit of ribosome contalns 2 types of r-RNA i.e. 5s and 23s.

12. 30s sub unit of ribosome nas lbs type of r-RNA..

13. So 70s ribosome has total 3 types of r-RNA.
