here is your answer

_______________________________

=> And equimolar mixture of the form d-form and l-form of same compound is called racemic mixture.

Or

=> And equimolar mixture of two enantiomers is called racemic mixture.

★. Since enantiomers have the angle of rotation equal in magnitude but opposite in direction, the angle made by one enantiomer gets compensated by the angle made by another half such type of compensation is known as external compensation so, racemic mixture is optically inactive due to external compensation.

"In chemistry, a racemic mixture, or racemite, is one that has equal amounts of left and right handed enantiomers of a chiral molecule. The first known racemic mixture was racemic acid, which Louis Paseur found to be a mixture of the two enantiomeric isomers of tartaric acid."

HOPE it helps!!!!!
