A series of metals arranged by their 'reactivity' from highest to lowest

the reactivity series helps us to identify which metals are more reactive than the less reactive ones..
the reactivity series is
potassium
sodium
calcium
magnesium
aluminium
zinc
iron
lead
h2(hydrogen)
copper
mercury
silver
gold
platinum
the ones below hydrogen are lesser reactive than the ones above for example sodium is much more reactive than gold.
reactivity series help great in the displacement reaction. hope it helps you

nityaswami: hope it helps you!
8171402510: Simran that's not activity . It is reactivity
simran9596: actually in my book..its written increasing activities...nd I had searched on internet so there I found written decreasing activities...
simran9596: I'm really confused...so can u both plz help
nityaswami: yes it's decreasing see from potassium to platinum the power of each metal keeps decreasing hence the right answer is decreasing
simran9596: nd What's the meaning of extraction of metals?
nityaswami: extraction of metals is basically obtaining pure metal from their impurities
8171402510: Firstly it is not activity ,it is reactivity. In reactivity series the most reactive metal is placed at the top and the least reactive metal is placed at the bottom
simran9596: thank u..@nityaswami
nityaswami: sure please mark my answer as brainliest if it helped you!
