What is redox reaction? Identify the substance oxidized and substance reduced in the following reactions: A. Pb3O4 + 8HCl – 3PbCl2 + Cl2 + 4 H2O B. CuO + H2 – Cu + H2

A. Hydrogen is oxidized and lead is reduced

B. This question is wrong. It should be CuO + H2 – Cu + H2O and answer for it is Hydrogen is oxidized and copper is reduced.
