reducing equivalent is the number of chemical substance that is capable of transferrring one electron at the time of oxidation or reduction and all other type of reaction where the oxidation states changes.eg hydrogen atom is a reducing equivalent as it consits of one proton and one electron .in reactions hydrogen atom is capable of giving away the electron
